The level of membership all depends on the amount of posts that you have made. Here is the break-down:

Silver Member 200 to 499 posts
Gold Member 500 to 999 posts
Platinum Member 1000 to 4999 posts
Diamond 5000 or more posts

All membership levels are free. There are no charges whatsoever.

Just an observation, but maybe membership should be determined by how many Poems you have posted, instead of replys. I've noticed most of the people who are Gold or Platinum Members, are mostly that way only because of chatting back and forth.

It would be nice to see the Level of Membership reflect that of those who are showing there talent through poetry--it seems like that would be more appropraite to what this site is!!

Not meaning to offend anyone, just an idea!

I agree Deb, there is an aura of harmony and love here because of that chatter back and forth. I would never want to discourage it......And Madam Scetch , you're welcome to join in and meet a few friends-----we're non-prejudice, we even take doubting Thomas's into our fold.....
Love you Madam Scetch, Come on ....you'll love it.

I wasn't against the chatter & the harmony
I just thought it would be interesting to know the actual number of poems that are posted by an individual instead of just the number that is racked up by everyday chatter--communication!

Like I said I didn't mean any Offence by this!

I'm more than willing to join the ranks & make some new friends!!

Hey Sketcher, You will find that most of the members that visit here every day have numerous poems posted here. And you'll find out soon that there's not a nicer place on this planet to be. Like Deb and Carol have stated above we are family here and we just want to make you feel welcome. I've read some of your work already and can see that you are a fine writer yourself. There are so many of those here in our home, so come on in and Happy posting. And a Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Merry Christmas to you also, Thank You!!

I appreciate the welcome, from each of you!!

I wasn't against any friendly Chats or back-n-forth canter, I'm a person just like each of you & believe it or not I enjoy Chatting and making friends.

I JUST FELT it would be interesting to know that when it said
3636 POSTS or 2446 POSTS or 4296 POSTS--under your name,
that you would know that was how many poems you have written!
Wouldn't that be cool??

It was just an IDEA!!!

Take a lot to code something like that for a forum. If you want to display how many poems. It could be done under interests or in a persons signature. Just do something like.

Poems *3*
Stories *4*

Or something to that.

~Uses her sig as an example~

It is beyond the capabilities on this forum. However, I could put a number beside the entries in the Hall of Fame. This way people can keep track of how many of their poems has been featured.

I gotta say that I agree with Madame Scetch; we should make membership levels based on the number of POEMS people write....instead of postings......but thanks anyway webmaster for doing what you ARE going to do. Hall of Fame??? cool....lol.....

Personally, I like the present format. I couldn't even care how many poems I've posted or that of anyone else. I think that would put an unspoken element of competition, and that is not what we are here to do. Aslo, our poems come when we are inspired, it's not like we are racking up points. Chat rooms are for fun. A post is a post is a post is a post . . . . . . .      :)

I agree. After thinking it through, I do not want to create an atmosphere of competition. Poetry should come naturally. I'll leave the format as is for now.
