We are suspended in this moment of intrigue that I shall never forget;
As, churning water rushes in from the sea from its rest of long regret.
The moon, casts shadows of soft light, through a raven shrouded sky.
The stars twinkle with a message of love, as safe in your arms, I sigh.
We have built a fire of passion that shall flicker on through the night.
You look at me with eyes revealing longing, as you embrace me tight.
The rhythm of rolling waves soothes now the worries, that I once had.
When, I had sought to find if you would ever return; as life waxed sad.
On the high seas of love you had set sail, with tears of seasons ago;
And, as you sailed to different ports, your destination I did not know.
Surely, you found hidden treasure locked in chests fashioned of gold.
Part of your quest to search for mysteries that remained then untold.
I had waited patiently here for you, as daily tides rolled in; back out.
My voice was released into the sea's winds, as your name I did shout.
I studied every ship that I would see drifting far out on water's deep.
For, this aching heart of mine did on every wave, your love still seek.
I knew not if you would return to this shore to hold me in arms tight.
Yet, I had pledged my love to you; of that I could not ever lose sight.
And, as long days and nights all floated away, and you did not return;
My spirit continued to search for you, as my body for you did yearn.
Then on the distant horizon, I caught a glimpse of a ship sailing in;
Its sails were unfurled, blowing full in swift breezes; "Was it him"!
Each wave that rolled brought this vessel of love yet closer to me;
Then I saw written on its sails, these words, "I now come to thee!"
I ran to meet you as you stepped from the high ship to the shore;
And, at that moment, I knew we were destined to love once more.
Our sultry fire of passion burned brighter in love, as we reunited,
And, your ship set sail without you as we kissed through the night!
My Captain of the high seas of love, you did come sailing back;
You left treasures on distant shores, because my love you lacked.
And, your ship with its sails unfurled, drifts along now in the wind;
Floating on, destination unknown, as you'll eternity with me spend!
