No Matter How Much I Drink (SONG) IN TUNE WITH [ONCE A DAY]

Here I sit once again
With my old friend the blues
Pouring whiskey down
As memories hang around you

No matter how much I drink
Because, drinks aint working no more
So I sit and ponder on what you'd say
If you was to walk through that door

Would you take pity for me
As you walked across the floor
Or would you get so mad at me
You'd tell me off, before slamming that door

(CHORUS)

(No matter how much I drink
It never seems to be enough
Your memories still haunt me
This whiskey just aint that tough

Your memories wake me in the night
They just won't let me sleep
I'm way behind on getting rest
Often when I think of you, I weep)

They say there's no rest for the weary
I'm here to testify it's true
And while I'm here to testify
I might as well say it "I love you"

Oh the rumors have already started
Here in this little old town
How you left me for another
and I'm just a love sick clown

I've tried the beer on the way to the whiskey
But,nothing seems to take effect
So,I sit here trembling and drinking
Honey, you've left me a nervous wreck

(REPEAT CHORUS)

(No matter how much I drink
It never seems to be enough
Your memories still haunt me
This whiskey just aint that tough

Your memories wake me in the night
They just won't let me sleep
I'm way behind on getting rest
Often when I think of you, I weep)

They say there's no rest for the weary
I'm here to testify it's true
And while I'm here to testify
I might as well tell "I love you"

Oh if folks only knew my dear
The Hell I go through each night
Struggling with both love and hate
It's always a constant fight

Oh,but what they don't know
Is that you never left this town
I'll just let their stories fly
For I planted you six feet under ground

I could never let you leave me
It would have broke my heart in two
Oh I could never love another
Because of this love I have for you

(REPEAT CHORUS)

(No matter how much I drink
It never seems to be enough
Your memories still haunt me
This whiskey just aint that tough

Your memories wake me in the night
They just won't let me sleep
I'm way behind on getting rest
Often when I think of you, I weep)
