O SWEET MOTHER

Post by Rita Biesemans » Tue Aug 06, 2019 12:50 pm

O SWEET MOTHER
Our eyes pregnant with tears
Our hearts crowded with fears
Our ears longing to retain
Your sweet voice, once again
You were the sunshine of our lives
And in us your lineage survives
You’ve always been so full of love
It sets your name all names above
Our heart longs for those early days
You pampered us in so many ways
You never thought of yourself
Your kids were on the upper shelf
You’ve always been our beacon
You taught us how not to weaken
In times of hardship and struggle
It saved us from the worldly bubble
We promise you, dearest mother
We will take care of each other
And keep dad under our wings
Until his bell no longer swings
From Heaven look down upon us
Don’t let us make a fuss.
dedicated to Teresa’s mother, the heart and soul of the family
