Actually I did. We built one for the kids years ago, in a huge apricot tree. It was built in and around the tree. Then one year my middle son decided to prune the tree. High winds(50 mile an hour) came up and split the tree. We just have the man made fort left as the tree had to be removed..

Hey, Marlys, I write a lot of my poems in one sitting. I hear about people saying it takes them weeks to write something-- Maybe I'm weird--and it probably shows (LOL)--but mine usually come to me and, like you, I can't get the words down fast enough.

And, I have gone into the wrong restroom! And, have actually used the restroom, not realizing it was the men's restroom (didn't look on the wall when I came in, obviously). I looked over and saw this "woman" with the ugliest shoes on I have even seen. Then, it dawned on me (like a wall of bricks) that the "woman" was a man and I got the heck out of there as fast as I could before anyone saw me. I thought I would DIE! Then, I spent the rest of the day laughing hysterically at what I'd done!

I'm certain that our poems would be more eloquent if we took our time..I just write for the fun of it so quick works for me.

Too, bad about the apricot tree. I grew up with them,
and I love apricots. Do, you still have the fort, it would be great for your grandkids. We always made our own homemade forts when I was a kid,
we lived in so many places then, we always needed to build a new one, but it was always fun.

Marlys, how did the blackberries do up there this yr? And, Janet, do you
have wild blackberries in your part of the world?

Oh, I love blackberries. Yes, we have wild ones, but I don't pick them anymore--too many critters! Nothing like blackberry cobbler. I'm not sure how they were this year...didn't even think about getting any.
