Unfortunately some families are too busy fighting, watching football, and stuffing themselves fatter than the turkey to be thankful for anything!!! Despite the grave seriousness of the problems facing our nation; we as a people have so very much to be thankful for. Two days in Africa would convince the poorest American that we are truely blessed. This would make a very lovely e-card!!!! (((Jeanette)))
So true Jeanette!
Some don't even want the bother of preparing a dinner, any day let alone a big Thanksgiving meal..
Many just go out or get themselves invited for a freebe!
I've been hosting mine for 42 years now..It will be soon though, that my daughters will trade off
Now, I'm not saying that I don't love my football games and pumpkin pie!
but my favorite part of our tradition, is when we all hold hands in a circle of prayer, and one member of each family unite(once your married) says a prayer of Thanksgiving for his/her family!
We always cry!!!
Be blessed and may God keep you and all you love!
