~ The Simple Things~

It’s loves simple things
That makes a bond so true,
Walking hand in hand
Looking at the sky so blue.

It’s loves simple things
A warm and gentle glance,
Just sitting side by side
Or a private moonlit dance.

It’s loves simple things
Just knowing that you care,
The promise of forever
Only we will always share.

Hi Jeff glad to see your poetry again this one is so very true my dear friend for it is the little things that always touch the heart so deep, it's the little things that leave memories within your heart this one is simply beautiful my friend as all of yours are truely enjoyed this one from beginning to end.............

Hey Jeff!
We can make love so complicated with the demands that the world places on the idea of love with the "gotta haves", when it is that unexpected little compliment, or that flower picked in the garden and handed to you, that dish of ice cream brought in with a smile, that "come here and give me a hug", and so much more! Love is what comes from the heart, and the simple, but sincere gestures are those that truly mean the most! I guess it's what I would call "the old fashioned" kind of love! To me it is the very best kind, and simple it is!

Love is so simple when we follow the same pathway at Jesus. It is just as you described. We are always the ones that try to complicate it. But, just like the way a child loves, unconditionally and forever trusting, that is the way of True Love.
