Would You Be My Valentine

Would you be my valentine
Would you be my sweetheart
Could I be the only one
You hold dear to your heart

Would you be my valentine
Would you be my friend
Could we stay together
Until the very end

Would you be my valentine
Would you hold me tight
Could we even possibly
Be each others guiding light

Would you be my valentine
Could your love light shine
And on this special valentines
WOULD YOU PLEASE BE MINE

Would You Be My Valentine

Norman,
I agree with Debbi that the part about friendship is so very important to a lasting relationship...so often one puts things into motion so quickly, that it is all over before the light gets to shine the brightest - as the bulb is blown out!
Thanks for the lovely poem. It is sweet, and from your heart of hearts!
In Friendship,
Sheila

Hello, Norman.

I have mixed emotions about this poem....... It is both serious and happy at the same time..... I really like it, and I keep reading it over and over. It is sort of like a little boy trying to figure out how to tell his sweetheart that he likes her..... 'Could you? Would you?' Nicely done!

Hugs,

Hey Norman...congrats also. Image I just saw that it had been made into an e-card, and I have just viewed it. Skip has done a wonderful job of taking your poem and adding the music, and floating hearts...all so pretty!
Keep up the good work there...you must be a real "valentine" to that wife of yours!! She is a lucky gal!!
Again congrats to you!!
