SOUL MATE

Image


Your presence lifts my spirit

I want to hold you near.

Look deeply into your eyes

And say 'I love you dear.'


But how can I express it?

Words can never explain

This overwhelming passion

Which brings both joy and pain.

Looking in your loving eyes

Even hearing your voice

Sets my heart and blood racing

And makes my soul rejoice.


Your absence makes me lonesome.

My heart aches all day long.

I yearn to feel your closeness.

In your arms, I belong.

The stars and moon shining softly

Reflect our silhouette

As we glide in unison

To our intimate duet


Why don't we stop pretending

That we are only friends

I've finally found my soul mate

And my love never ends.

Dearest Ellen!
And, when we find that soul mate, we should hold on.....and never let go! Hearts, and souls should be joined in love!
It is a blessing to find that special someone, and when we have them....why pretend, as you say.....just love them!!
A nice write, and your graphics are just breathtaking!

Dear Ellen, I really liked this one. You should certainly cherish anyone whose presence "lifts your spirit". Soul mates are such a special part of a lifetime. What a wonderful feeling to know this is it!

Glad you enjoyed my dream, Ms Lady of Love. It is a different sort of write for me. The graphics took quite a while to find so it is nice to see they are worth the time. Blessings my friend.

A very big congratulations to you dear friend. Just an awesome love poem, well, a would say a masterpiece for sure, and certainly and most worthy E-card as well, a very beautiful E-card. I loved the way the fog of steam drifted above the water, super job by the Webmaster. Thanks for letting me know. God bless.

Dear Ellen,

This is a superb poem and the e-card is just perfect for your write. Your graphics are beautiful as well. Infact your very first picture is on two of India's most famous Bollywood stars, Bipasha Basu and John Abraham. They worked on movies together as mere colleagues, fell in love and are now engaged to be married!! Your poem suits them well. I enjoyed this lovely poem. Thanks for sharing. I had no idea who was in the first picture...I just found it on Photobucket after much searching for one to go with my poem. They just seemed to be soul mates. It is so nice to hear how the poem fits them too.
