TITLED: "FIRST,…ON THIS,…LIST!"...

Perhaps the specter of perishing in a nuclear fireball, haunts our vision, of the future. Our species now, appears to be threatened. Since, even learned observers view the future, with trepidation,...it is little wonder, that many display this attitude...(read 1st. Corinthians 15:32). If our future rides on the ability of politicians and scientists, it looks grim, indeed. For the Great Prophet Jeremiah 10:23 says,..."To earthling man, his way does not belong. It does not belong to man, who is walking even to direct his step. It is not that mankind simply lacks the ability to govern himself. Please note, that it does ("Not"),...belong to man, to do so. We have no right, in managing Earth's future!...

What is God's purpose for our planet and our future?... Mankind was presented with the prospect of living in a global paradise...(Genesis 1:28). The first couple, however, rebelled at God's Rulership. We ourselves, have sought out many plans...(Ecclesiastes 7:29). Human plans, have proved to be disastrous, leaving the present generation, a legacy of misery and the most dismal of future prospects. Does this mean, that our living God has abandoned the Earth, to becoming a polluted, radio-active, and perhaps lifeless globe?... Impossible!.... His stated purpose for the Earth, is thus sure to be fulfilled!....(Isaiah 45:18:...55:10,11).

But,...("WHEN,...AND,...HOW?"). Read for yourself, Luke chapt. 21, in its entirety. There, Jesus predicted the very problems that have plagued mankind, during this past century. Know that the Kingdom of God, is ever so near...(Luke 21:10,11,28,31). That Kingdom, is the Key to our future. Simply stated, it is a government. God's means of ruling our Earth. This government, will wrestle control of Earth, from human hands...(Daniel 2:44). Those, ruining our planet, will themselves face ruin, at God's hands. He will save the Earth, and mankind,...from the onslaughts of human abuse!....(Revelation 11:18;...Ecclesiastes 1:4).

Convince yourself, of the Truthfulness of our Bible. Although this idea may sound appealing, I will understand if perhaps, we have difficulty letting go of our unbelief. It is inherently natural, to find your Faith at times, to be alarmingly wobbly. Not always, nor for everyone, is our Bible's context, acceptible as Truth. Many, just believe because of their obligations to please family and friends. Without Faith, it is impossible to please God...(Hebrews 11:6). So, we need first, to ask ourselves what's most important. Pleasing others, pleasing yourself or pleasing God?...

Once you have an answer to this question, than you can move-on to your next criteria. Test, examine, and research for yourself. Then evaluate your priorities and what you value most as primary principles. Be sure, that you are True to yourself, while journeying toward Truths. Establish your list of personal longings, and consider placing Christ,…(“FIRST,…ON THIS,…LIST!”)...

Faith, is not something we possess, because our mother and father, have it. It cannot be inherited. Secure your Faith, by building it, based on evidence. Prove to yourself, that the Bible is True. You may first, need to test,...whether the Bible is Truly inspired of God...(2nd. Timothy 3:16). How can we do this?... Well, only Almighty God, can without fail, ...tell from the beginning,...the finale...(Isaiah 43:9;...46:10). And He does so, repeatedly in the Bible. The Bible's historical accuracy, honesty, candor, and lack of contradiction,...are further reasons, to put Faith in it. Examine the Scriptures, determine for yourself, whether these things are so!...(Acts 17:11).

May I urge you, to make your own, in-depth study of the Bible's teachings?... Seek out a good Bible based study group or individual mentor. Preferably an elder, respected within your community, whom is well versed and founded, with Scripture. Prayerfully present your plea, to our Heavenly Father. He will present the,...("PROPER PERSON,...IN YOUR,...PATH"),...that will provide Spiritual Growth and knowledge; as He has done with me. Pray about, how we can draw closer to our Maker. Give yourself, something to Hope for. Having solid Faith, in God's promises, is sure to affect our outlook. View the future, with happy anticipation, and not with gloom. Don't make life, an aimless struggle. But rather, treasure-up for yourself,...a fine foundation and get a firm hold on this life, and the one to come. God, seems to be an aloof, distant figure, an impersonal,..."First Cause". The idea of being close to Him, may thus seem disquieting, even frightening to many!...

Is it really possible for me, to be close to God?... Our very future, depends upon our getting close to God. Jesus Christ said,..."This means Everlasting Life, their taking in knowledge of You,...the only True God"...(John 17:3). This,..."Knowledge",...is more than the ability to learn, or recite facts. An Atheist, could do that. It involves cultivating a relationship with God and,...("BECOMING,...FRIENDS")...(compare James 2:23).

Far from being unapproachable, God invites us to seek and really find Him. He is not far-off, from each one of us...(Acts 17:27). Our Bible, is God's Revelation, to mankind. It tells us how we got here, and where we are going. Have you ever gazed at the distant stars, listened with wonderment, to the roaring sea, been enchanted by a graceful butterfly, or marveled at the delicate beauty, of a tiny leaf?.... These works of God, all give but a glimpse of His immense power, wisdom and Love. His invisible qualities, are well perceived by the things, He has made!....(Romans 1:19,20).

However, you need to know more about God, than creation alone, can reveal. God, has therefore provided His written Word. That Book, reveals God to be,...not some nameless entity, or impersonal force, but a real person, with a name. Know, that He is called,..."Jehovah!"....

Many feel, that no one cares,...and become painfully depressed, over relatively commonplace matters. Some fail, to measure-up, to the expectations of others, including parents, teachers or friends; soon becoming their cause for melancholy. It's evident that a sense of failure, kindles depression. Send yourself, on this appointed mission, alongside our Saviour, Jesus Christ, and let us assist these imprisoned... Apparently, these overlook all the good, they have performed, before they got ill. They live a sense of loss. Typically of someone or something, which had been deeply loved. Some reasons, that expose the root of depression are,...the loss of a parent, through death or divorce; the loss of job or career, or even the loss of one's physical health. A most devastating loss, to any person, though,...is the loss of Love!....

Also the feeling of being unwanted and uncared for. These feel betrayed and alone. Their world, suddenly seems upside down. Often, more than not, these very same, blame themselves, for their family's problems. Recognize your symptoms of bewilderment and pain, when facing divorce, alcoholism, incest, wife beating, child abuse, or simple rejection by others. Have your blues, fade in a relatively short time, by getting involved with the insights of our Holy Scriptures... Find gain, amidst the groaning. Find deliverance, amongst depression. Find possibilities, in your pain. Have Hope, although surrounded by hindrance. Nothing gives me greater pleasure, than the activities, I now enjoy. Believers don't just go through the motions. Our total worth, is in knowing that we are real, and do not walk in a fog. We contribute, with the importance of possessing a complete sense of usefulness. Our thoughts, are full of love. We insist on guarding against, drastic changes in our mood!....

They called us withdrawn; whereas now, we are outgoing. Although we often cry, harboring total hopelessness,...is simply not happening. Conditions will get better, and all things are not bad. Never do we wish to be dead, but rather we recognize being,..."Alive in Christ, Jesus". Anguishing with our Almighty, inhibits His bliss. Concentrating, by reading His Word over and over, creates certain thoughts,...as we are led to comprehend with Christ... Neither do we experience poor or excessive sleep. Nightmares, are not frequented. Our reasons are good, for not constantly feeling tired. Could all of this, become a major impression on others?.... You bet!... Believers, never experience more than your basic blues. With the help of our Heavenly Father, we realize how alone we once felt, and how even in laughter,...we had always longed, for our Lord!....

Our serious order, can be explained. We are victims of Victory. We exist, eternally elated, and unrelenting of our gleaming gladness. What is the common ingredient, in these I speak of?... The Truth, The Life, and The Way of Hope. Accept the fact, that disappointments are a part of this life. Tell yourself,..."I will get over it". And there's nothing wrong with putting,...("VALUE,...TO THIS,...VIEW"),...of accomplishment... He that confesses and forsakes his transgressions, will be shown Mercy...(Proverbs 28:13). We don't have to be top of our school class, to be successful...(Ecclesiastes 7: 16-18). Win this battle of the mind. Cut-off these negative thoughts of not being worth anything. It's not up to others, to measure our worth, as a person. Meeting God's standards, is most important!....

Despair, doesn't go away on its own. Our Saviour,..."Jesus Christ",...successfully lived through bouts of discouragement, and so can we!....

TITLED: "BEHIND,…THE,…BRAVADO!"....

Insecurity, jealousy and low self-esteem,...are often the reasons for ridicule. Don't sit in the seat of ridiculers...(Psalm 1:1). Many join in ridiculing, in order to deflect the attention from themselves. This only prolongs, the vicious insult cycle. Do not hurry yourselves in your Spirit, to become offended,...for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the foolish ones...(Ecclesiastes 7:9). Remember that the ridiculer, wants to enjoy your reaction and to,..."Revel in your Misery!"....

Lashing back, becoming defensive or bursting into tears, is likely to encourage them, to keep up the harassment. Perhaps, the best way to fend-off insults is, to nonchalantly ignore them. We can't pay attention to everything people say. Much less, be overly concerned about the,..."Caustic Comments",...of our ridiculers. Realize, that their judgment is not the least valid. He that examines us, is God. Develop a strong relationship with our Almighty, and achieve the confidence and inward strength, to withstand unfair attacks. Let your light shine!....(Matt. 5:16).

Endure such contrary talk...(Hebrews 12:3). (“BEHIND,…THE,…BRAVADO”),…these tormentors may very well be saying,..."We don't like ourselves, but putting someone down, makes us feel better". Keep our incentives in focus, at all times. Our love for God and Truth,...impels us to overcome. Boast, if you'd like, in the priviledge of knowing our living God, and of being used by Him,...to help others!....(1st. Corinthians 1:31).

We invite hostility, when constantly criticizing others. This gives the impression that we feel superior. As opportunity arises, share your Faith, but do so with,..."A mild temper and deep respect"...(1st. Peter 3:15). Our reputation, for fine conduct, may prove to be our greatest protection, while here on Earth. Though others may not like our courageous stand, they will often begrudgingly respect us, for it!....

Do your best, never to give-in to provocations. Unbelievers, want us to lose our cool,...just once. Maintain your composure, through their curiosity. Let us lead them, to accepting a study of our Bible. I know, we can all fall in love together, with what we will learn. No one, can break our Spirit. When appropriate, show a sense of humor. Respond to evil, with kindness. Refuse to feed the fires of contention. Granted, we are,..."Far from infallible".

We believers, have our fair share of quirks, and problems. Therefore, give yourself the benefit of the doubt. Tactfully approach others, and find out the cause of their unbelief. Accord them special favors, when asked of you. Win their Trust, and we will have won another Soul, for our Christ, Jesus. Bear in mind, we all face unique demands and pressures. Holding the attention of unbelievers, is one of our biggest challenges. Especially whose minds are usually elsewhere. Lavish hard your attention, on those, who show Hope in Heaven!....

Reach beyond the ability to merely recite facts. Arrive at the top, by analyzing them and generate productive ideas, from them. Find the force, then use your mind. Skills like learning how to study and how to plan, are never forgotten. Long term effects of education, widen and deepen our knowledge. Not merely of bookish facts, but also, by becoming more likely to seek out, and be attuned to sources of information. These differences, are found to have endured, despite aging and many years of removal from school. Most important of all, an education can equip us, to carry out our Christian responsibilities!....

Once we have acquired good study habits, and have mastered the art of reading, we can more easily study,..."God's Word"...(Psalm 1:2). There are life-long benefits, in knowing your strengths and weaknesses; hence, becoming a better you. Teach yourself how to view failure. Many, have the tendency of viewing others, and not themselves,...as the cause of their set-backs. In contrast, we believers can benefit, from a routinely disciplined life-style. Where there is wisdom and discipline, it is there, that we will find , the most creative minds. It therefore makes good sense for us all, to take full advantage of education!....

Improve your grading by,...("GRASPING,...GOD'S GRACIOUS,...GIFTS"),...given to mankind. Our only Hope, habitating the whole of Heaven. His name is,..."Jesus Christ". Fierce competition, whether for material riches or academic accolades,...is futile. Pursue Spiritual interests and Trust God to care for our material needs. Educating ourselves, means more than,..."Racking-up Points". Develop your thinking ability, by taking raw information and drawing sound, practical conclusions from it. Find your balance, when it comes to assuming your responsibility for learning!...

A lazy person, may show himself desirous, but his Soul has nothing...(Proverbs 13:4). We help ourselves, to keep going by, setting a schedule and organizing our time. Make sure you set goals, which do not depend for the most part, on factors beyond our control, but on us and how hard we are willing to apply ourselves. Examine your habits. It is there, that you will find your faults, and also where you can remedy with resolve!....

Most of us, would benefit from having a quiet place, that is set aside for you and your God. If you share a room, or if space is limited in your home,...improvise. Or, as a last resort, try a public library,...as I do. Give yourself, a True sense of accomplishment. Feel good, working with God's Word. The Spiritual aspect of our lives, is often sacrificed and takes a back-seat, when it comes to harmonizing our daily activities. However conflicting this Truth is, we must concern ourselves about Christ's Cause, which in turn concerns us entirely. Godly devotion, is beneficial for all things!...(1st. Timothy 4:8).

Always remember, bad associations, spoil useful habits!....(1st. Corinthians 15:33).

TITLED: "WE,...EXAGGERATE,...LITTLE!"....

Enthusiasm, is contagious, and our desire for Spiritual growth, just might inject some life into our loved ones. Of course, we don't expect a drastic transformation, from night to day. As for me, it has taken 10 years, to gain this gayety. There's much we must suffer through first, before we arrive here, at these heights. For it is the price pronounced, by our Principal provider. But, if we are a good reader and are sincerely interested in what is being mentioned, we can very well learn, even from me. I will battle my best, to guard against boring you!...

The rising tide of indifference among so many, makes this teaching task troublesome, and difficult,...but, not impossible. I live with few fears, and violence is not the victor, in my life. I see it, as my inherent responsibility to push, and poke as well as to see, just how far I can bend or stretch you, with the Word of God. I will always strive, to not over-react, nor become harsh,…in the atmosphere of fear and disrespect, which pervades this world!....

Allow yourselves, to be molded by our Master. Consider the effects of oppression, making a wise person, act crazy...(Ecclesiastes 7:7). Unbelievers, who seem by their behavior, to belittle our Christ, Jesus,...are hostile and often molded, by their very own mal-addictions. Consider our Christ, and the effects of cruel pranks, projected unto our Lord,...and know then, that,...("WE,...EXAGGERATE,...LITTLE"),...when we write of His Truths!....

Followers of Christ, Jesus,...are often hounded unmercifully by their opposers. But, we are never pushed to the point of cracking or breaking. Our opposition, savors sabotaging, for fun. Never-the-less, we all reap, what we sow. We in contrast, live by this,..."Golden Rule"...(see Matt. 7:12). Be attentive and cooperative, despite the casual clashes of personalities, which set these unbelievers, against us. Avoid any mutual animosity to flourish, simply because we may misunderstand finally, their inquisitiveness about our Faith. Guard against confusing this, as rebellion from them!....

("If"),...possible, as far as it depends upon us, be peaceable with all men...(Romans 12:17,18). How true, of these words from our great Apostle Paul. Not always, are conditions ideal, nor rosy. Be also willing to accept circumstances, that may be less than ideal, despite our best efforts. Try not to antagonize our adversaries. Avoid needless confrontations. Give our opponents, no legitimate cause for complaint. "Our Persistent Politeness",...even a smile, from time to time, just might change their opinion of us!....(see Romans 12:20,21).

An answer, when mild,...turns away rage...(Proverbs 15:1). If we feel some injustice against us, approach our accuser, respectfully and tactfully. We truly achieve nothing, by ranting and raving,...nor claiming gross injustice, and vowing revenge. Instead, try proving yourselves guilty of an oversight or miscalculation, rather than of bad judgment. Strive for positive impressions, displaying maturity!....

In His infinite goodness, our living God, has given us a body that is wonderfully made, with senses designed to help us perceive His works, and delight in them...(Psalm 139:14). What sights bring us joy, to life's moments?... The flushed cheeks, of a cheerful child. The curtains of rain, descending on the fields; the reds, golds, and violets,...of a sunset?... Our eyes, are designed to detect countless colors. Our sense of hearing, catches the nuances of tone, in a well-loved voice, the whisper of the wind through the trees, and a toddler's ecstatic laugh!...

Having the sense of smell, is another evidence of God's Greatness. The ability to distinguish, tens of thousands of different odors, is not the result of blind chance. Your sense of touch, enables us to feel the caress of the breeze on our faces, the reassuring embrace of a loved one, and the satisfying smoothness, of a piece of fruit, in our hand. When we take a bite, our sense of taste, comes into play. A symphony of flavors greet us, as our taste buds detect subtleties, created by complex chemical make-ups. He has abundantly treasured-up, for us...(Psalm 31:19). His, are everlasting benefits. Spiritual food, and its abundance, is a key feature of His restorative power, during these days!...

We are brought to a Spiritual paradise, through His Word, and are led to everlasting life. His vision involves, an arrangement for pure worship. His provisions, flow out to His people. Strive, for this clean standing, before our Saviour. Our Creator, embraces numerous fine qualities. Instead of being brusque, cold or tyrannical,...as is often true of the powerful; He is gentle and kind. In a world where harshness, pushiness and rudeness are so common,...it's refreshing to contemplate His Graciousness. Dishonesty, has become the norm today. On the contrary, our Heavenly Father's promises, are completely reliable. His words, are always sure of fulfillment!...

He refrains from telling falsehoods, and dispenses an abundance of Truth. He is not closed, guarded, or secretive. But rather, He generously enlightens His faithful servants, from His boundless store of wisdom. Let us, become radiant. When Satan tempted Eve, in the garden of Eden, he did so,...by subtle undermining. Notice the twisting of words, by our adversary...(Genesis 2:9,16;...3:1). This wicked one, attempts to convince us, that our loving God, is holding something back from us. Sadly for most, his tactics work. Like so many men and women in the past, we begin to doubt our living God. Faith, does not function, in the presence of doubt!...

We know well, the depths of sorrow and misery which are brought on, by such doubts. So, let us take to heart, the words of,...(Jeremiah 31:12). Never doubt the motives of our Creator. Trust in Him completely,...for He is full of Grace. He sheds an abundance of Spiritual light upon,...("THOSE WILLING,...TO BE,...TAUGHT"),...and enlightened by Him!....(2nd. Corinthians 4:6;...1st. John 1:5).

TITLED: "CARING,...SHEPHERDS!"...

Why not make it a practice each day, to thank God. Be as specific as possible. When opportunity arises, talk to others, about our Heavenly Father and do it,...delightfully. God, provides us, with the loftiest example of loyalty. What is,..."Loyalty?".... More is involved, than faithfulness. After all, a person might be faithful, merely out of a sense of duty. In contrast, loyalty is rooted in Love. It is a kindness, which lovingly attaches itself, and does not let go, until its purpose,...is realized. The word faithful, can be applied to inanimate things. For example, the Psalmist called the Moon,..."A faithful witness, in the skies",...because of its regular nightly appearances!...(Psalm 89:37).

But the Moon, cannot be loyal, by description. Why?... Because loyalty, is an expression of Love, something which inanimate things, cannot display. In its scriptural sense, loyalty is warm. Its very manifestation, indicates that a relationship exists, between the person who displays this quality, and the one toward whom, it is shown. Such loyalty, is not fickle. It is not like waves of the sea, blown about by changing winds. On the contrary, loyalty, has the stability and strength,...to overcome the most daunting of obstacles. Granted, such loyalty is rare today. All too often, close companions are disposed to break one another to pieces. Treacherous acts, are so common, that we might find ourselves, echoing the words of the Prophet Micah!...(see Micah 7:2).

Loyalty,..."Outstandingly characterizes our Creator". it is a grand facet,...of His Love. Jesus, sets for us, an outstanding example of self-sacrificing Love. This involves, unselfishly putting the needs and concerns of others, ahead of our own. Surrender your Soul, on behalf of a friend...(John 15:13). Jesus, has as a result of His sacrifices,..."A priviledged and exalted position",...in the Heavens. Also, a very intimate association with our Heavenly Father, and the Angelic realm. Jesus, emptied Himself, and took a slave's form. He came to be, in the likeness of men...(Philippians 2:7). He willingly came to co-habitate, within a Sinful World, which lies in the power of the wicked one!...(1st. John 5:19).

He did not use His skills, to gain material things. Jesus, showed great concern for His followers, His teaching work, and especially His integrity, in respect to how it would reflect, on His Father's Name. The entire future of mankind, rest on His shoulders. Like His Heavenly Father, Jesus is compassionate. The Scriptures describe Jesus, as one who reached out to those in distress, because he was deeply moved. His emotions moved Him,...to the very depths of His being. This compelled Him, to act. He responds, to our Spiritual needs. His heart was touched, by the sight of great crowds!....

These thousands, awaited Him,...like sheep, without a Shepherd. Jesus, taught them, many things. He saw these people, as individuals having Spiritual needs. Jesus knew, that the common people, were neglected by the cold-hearted, religious leaders, who were supposed to be,...("CARING,...SHEPHERDS")...(John 7:47-49).

Tender compassion, was the motive for Jesus' teaching the multitudes. He would do, the unthinkable for all who believed. I invite you, to examine and come to know, the Love of our Christ, Jesus. He dispels grief. Jesus, could not see the plight of others, without being moved with pity. As believers, let us teach this good news, and strive to win disciples. We are,..."Motivated by Love",...for our Creator and His Son, our Saviour. Remember always, we labor in Love, and work out of compassion for others in need!...

Take the initiative, to express your concerns, toward the needy and provide appropriate practical help...(Ephesians 4:32). There is no forgiveness possible, for those who act knowingly and maliciously...(John 11:45-53). We have a weighty responsibility, and that is to care for those who will become Christ's followers. Christ's Love, surpasses knowledge...(Ephesians 3:19). Do more, than just learn,...what our Bible says about Jesus. Genuinely appreciate Jesus' feelings by, giving unselfishly to others, respond to those who have less, forgive those who wrong us, and do it whole-heartedly!...

Experience Christ's ways, first hand. Go on, walking in Love. Unselfish Love, brings its own reward. Experience, the greater happiness, which comes from giving. Why is Love, so essential?... Love, is the essence, of True Christianity. Without Love, we cannot have a close bond, with fellow believers, and more important,...we amount to nothing, in our God's sight. Put the needs and interests of others, ahead of self. Do it plainly, and have it be obvious even to those, outside of our Faith. This is the mark, by which we are identified, as True followers of Christ, Jesus!...

A Loveless person, is like a musical instrument, making a loud, jarring noise which repels, rather than attracts. Despite any works, that we might perform, we become a,..."Worthless Nobody",...without Love. Place your highest value, on showing Love. The ability to be long-suffering means, patiently putting-up with others...(Colossians 3:13). Serving shoulder to shoulder, it is only realistic to expect, that from time to time, we may irritate one another. But, with patience and forbearance, we can cope with the minor scrapes and scratches, we sustain inn our dealings with others; without disrupting the Peace of your Spirit!...

Kindness is shown, by helpful acts and considerate words. Especially toward those, most in need. One who is ill or facing some adversity, may need to hear kind words, from a loyal friend...(Proverbs 12:25;...17:17). When we take the initiative, in such ways,...then and only then, are we demonstrating the genuineness of our Love...(2nd. Corinthians 8:8). Rejoice with this Truth. Strive to conduct ourselves, honestly in all things...(Hebrews 13:18). Guard against our inherent eagerness, to drag into the light of day, all the imperfections and short-comings, of others. But rather,...("COVER THEM,...BY HIS CLOAK,...OF LOVE")...Proverbs 10:12;...17:9).

Love, is eager to believe the best. Avoid being unduly suspicious of fellow followers of Christ; questioning their every motive. Make you appeals, based on Love. Express your confidence, and do the right thing. Trusting in your compliance, I am writing you; knowing you will even do more, than the things I mention. Bring out the best, in others, with this same confidence. Hope the best, for each other. Respond with loving efforts and readjust those who take a,..."False Step!"...(Galatians 6;1).

Our highest Hope, with those who are weak, is that they will recover their Faith. for these mentioned, we Pray the most. Our Love, is by no means,...gullible. We keep our eyes open, for those who cause divisions and occasions for stumbling. We avoid these...(Romans 16:7). do what you can, to assist the frail, in becoming strong again, in Faith...(Romans 15:1;...1st. Thessalonians 5:14). Even for those which are led astray. I Pray, they return to their senses and their Saviour, Jesus Christ. Exercise the endurance necessary, and stand firm, in the face of disappointments or hardships!...

Many times, we aer tested from within. Thoughtless remarks, hurt feelings. Love, is not jealous. Improper jealousy, causes us to become envious of what others have, their belongings, blessings, or abilities. Jealousy is a selfish, destructive emotion which, if left unchecked,...can disrupt the Peace we yearn. Restrain from flaunting our talents or accomplishments. Guard against bragging about our successes!....

Such boastings, can tear others down. Laboring n God's service, does not involve making others feel inferior in comparison. Do not cherish inflated ideas, of your own importance. Prevent having,..."An Elevated View",...of yourself...(Romans 12:3). Avoid behaving indecently, nor acting in an unseemly or offensive manner. Such a course, is unloving, for it shows an utter disregard, for the feelings and welfare of others. In contrast, there is a graciousness in Love, which moves us to show consideration for others. Love, promotes good manners, godly conduct, and respect for our fellow believers!...

Do not permit yourself, to engage in any shameful conduct or any other behavior that would shock or offend our beliefs...(Ephesians 5:3,4). Do not insist on your own ways, nor look for your own interests. A Loving person, does not demand that everything be done their way, as if their opinion were always correct. Guard against manipulating others. Don't use your powers, and persuasions, merely to wear down those who have a different view!....

Such stubbornness, reveals pride before a crash!....(Proverbs 16:18).

Show a willingness to yield. A yielding Spirit, is in,...("HARMONY,...WITH,...HEAVEN")...(1st. Corinthians 10:24). Avoid becoming provoked, and do not keep account, of your innjuries!....

TITLED: "BEYOND,...OURSELVES!"...

It has often and, I think, truly and wisely been said, that the best Prayer in the World, the cry to Almighty God which best catches the Spirit of the Psalms and the Lord's Prayer, is the one word,..."Help". Without the sense of need and weakness, words addressed to God, would not be Prayer at all. Speaking of Prayer as an Art, therefore, might be risky; it might make us think of Praying as a more studied and less spontaneous activity, more of an acquired technique of performance, and less the opening of an anxious and often frazzled heart, than in fact it is. Right attitudes of mind, is basic to meaningful Prayer and vitally important!...

We do need to have some idea of the place of our Praying, in God's plan for our spiritual growth in Christ, Jesus. We do need to remember that Praying, involves sometimes being quiet, as well as persistently being verbal; sometimes listening to God, both as we read and meditate on His Word, and as we hold-up before Him our present perplexities; sometimes deliberately stopping what we were saying about our troubles, tangles, and terrors in order to find again, the Peace which comes from realizing that He is Almighty, and Loves us!....

We also need to let our Lord, move us forward in the way we Pray, so that we do not simply mark time, for our living is a journey, and one cannot take a journey by standing still. Let us together learn, that when we have asked for help and strength to act, we should then go into action, expecting to receive what we asked for. The real art of Praying, is taking seriously, the goodness and faithfulness of our Heavenly Father, so that our life of Prayer becomes part of the longer reality, of our life of Faith!...

In the writing of these passages, I receive scores of insights from people, through informal conversations, interviews, correspondence and yes,...even Internet postings!....

Izzy, these are wonderful comments on our prayer life. You mentioned that the best prayer we can offer is the one word "help, It truly is a simple prayer to signify our need and weakness before the Lord. Sometimes in my weakness and most needful moments, I can only whisper the name, "Jesus", finding that the Holy Spirit discerns the thoughts and feelings behind that whispered name and presents it before God's throne, and I know that I have communed with God. May God bless us all and find us fruitful in our communion wtih Him.
Blessings, Shirley B
