The Bandit

He lurks into town
In the still of the night
Though he's wearing a mask
He's not out for a fright

He's just looking for something
That sounds good for him to eat
He can be the biggest beggar
When it comes to him for a treat

No he's not the kind of beggar
That just comes around Halloween
But if he surprises you with a growl
Then we are bound to hear you scream

He's careful to only come out late at night
While so many are are getting ready for bed
He's just getting started roaming around
Until the morning sun shines on his head

Now you might think I'm talking of a thief
And in many ways I guess that I am
For he is just a raccoon living in town
Just getting by the best way he can

Many frown down on him like he's trash
But he is trying to survive like the rest
He has to dodge all the dogs and guns
Before one of them lay him down to rest

TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A GENIOUS
TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A FOOL
BUT OUR WORDS OF POETRY
IS JUST OUR EXPESSION TOOL
