Tomorrow

~ Tomorrow! ~

The crisp clear water sparkles and gleams with joy
as it rushes over the many pebbles in the stream.
The beauty of it all brings some peace and comfort
to this heart of mine, as in wonder, does it capture me.

Sitting upon a small patch of green grass
beyond this vibrant stream nestled in some trees,
embraced by the shade that hovers above,
am I ever so alive to the presence that surrounds me.

A gentle breeze swipes across my aging body,
as the top of the forest trees dance in unison,
reminding me that this moment is just for me,
and is wrapped in the brilliant rays of the sun!

I breathe it's splendor all in, time after time, and again,
and store it in my heart and soul as a precious memory;
that I will forever embrace, and at some moment of time
I will share with others, this gift of tranquility and peace!

Life is too short and I am inclined to venture forth,
for this moment, this time, this day is all that have.
And I will relish every breathe of God's beauty around me,
every song by the birds, every sound from those trees,
and the stream and the sky, and I will be so very glad!

Over the years I have come to realize that life is a gift,
a precious span of time of both good days and sorrow.
I will not pay heed to the honking horns, nor the clamor
on city streets, or the rush of people going nowhere at all,
trapped to and tied to their necessary illusion of tomorrow!

For tomorrow can keep us pinned in each moment that is today,
planning, scheduling, foreseeing what tomorrow is going to be.
that necessary endeavor that we cling to, that will bring us hope,
though with uncertainty of an outcome that we cannot see!

Tomorrow only becomes a necessity of time that is today,
and our "today's'" are filled with preparations of that time.
we can loose focus of the purpose of our journey of this life,
and miss the awesomeness of a brisk flowing stream of water;
trees swaying in a breeze, sounds of nature, and the sunshine!

Make haste in taking care of your tomorrow's if you must,
But the present moment of time that encompasses what is today,
is a precious gift of another day of life, to be lived with others,
Whether in good health or bad, loving and caring as we go our way!

The crisp clear water sparkles and gleams with joy
as it rushes over the many pebbles in the stream.
The beauty of it all brings some peace and comfort
to this heart of mine, as in wonder, does it capture me.

Live today as if it were your last, for tomorrow it will be your past, but live it with peace in mind, joy to find, and for God divine!
