A Midnight Kiss

A Midnight Kiss

A midnight kiss was on his lips
As he turned to walk away
With a tear on his cheek
He softly began to pray

With a midnight kiss upon her lips
Her heart was breaking in two
For if he'd ever return again
They simply had no clue

That midnight kiss held time still
Between their hearts so pure
But they had no way to know
If He'd ever return from war

That midnight kiss glued two hearts
Like a long invisible twine
Connecting those two hearts
Forever until the end of time

That midnight kiss sweet and tender
Connecting hearts from the start
And it will continue to do so
No matter if they drift a part

That midnight Kiss has worked wanders
Though many have their doubts
Even when some lovers have given up
It brings others to scream or shout
