Beneath The Weeping Willow Tree

Beneath The Weeping Willow Tree

Beneath the weeping willow tree
They play there as so many children do
Playing with doll babies and toy trucks
Always smiling at each other never blue

As the years pass by they play in that tree
Swinging and jumping from limb-to-limb
Every now and then they might get a bruise
And often as not they'd come out skinned

Though they were not related at all
They always remained best of friends
If they should argue even a bit
They would make up before the days end

Then one day they got married then had kids
That also played in that weeping willow tree
As they swung like some monkey's on the lose
But always playing so happy and so care free

Now let's go twenty years down the road
Their bodies lay beneath that weeping willow tree
As their souls wait for Heavens call
Their love has always remained for all to see

On their tombstones you can plainly read
"Life on earth is but a kernel
Compared to our time in Heaven
As Jesus said 'Time There is Eternal"

So let us have a love like that
That lasts past our life on earth
For life here on earth is to short
Let us share our love for all it's worth

TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A FOOL
BUT OUR WORDS OF POETRY
IS JUST OUR EXPESSION TOOL
