She Lays Along The Bank

Rain runs down my window
As I look out to her grave
With a blanket of blue roses
Lord knows how she was brave

This pain in my heart
Matches the lightning strikes
As it's tearing me a part
Sitting here missing here tonight

Some say 'love don't exist,
It's only made up in ones mind'
So,I guess this love for her
Is rare and hard to find!

As I look at her tombstone
A big stone shaped like a heart
I feel it won't be much longer
That life will keep us a part

She loved the sound of the river
So we buried her along that bank
Under-neath that big oak tree
Where she'd often sit to think

Sometimes she would day-dream
Watching ripples roll over the rocks
And always would get a big kick
Watching the baby geese and ducks

So, now she rests along that bank
And they come to visit her now and then
As if they know she's there
And they are saying "hello old friend!"

And when my time is over
I hope to be there by her side
As we listen to all the nature
Laying there side-by-side

When Judgment Day finally comes
I hope she knows how much she's loved
From her time spent here on earth
When we meet in that Kingdom up above

So love all while you can
You never know when your time's up
Don't take nothing for granted
Be thankful everyday you're able to wake up

TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A GENIOUS
TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A FOOL
BUT OUR WORDS OF POETRY
IS JUST OUR EXPESSION TOOL
