Message In A Bottle

There she sits on a beach
Watching something come floating in
Wandering what it could be
As she reaches to pull it on in

It is but a bottle with a cork
Inside is a hand written letter
From someone expecting the worse
But having hopes for the better

As she reads through the letter
She wanders whothis might be
Some poor lost soul out there
Lost somewhere out at sea

It reads "To whom this may concern,
I'm lost on a distant island shore
I was just on a simple fishing trip
Pirates took my boat I had to swim to shore

I've been here for a week now
I'm not sure, the date is may tenth
I haven't seen a boat around
There are several bottles I've sent

This island is aweful lonely
This island is shaped like a cross
At nights I lay and wander
Just how much longer I'll be lost

I guess I'll sign off now
And end this letter's tune
All I can do pray I'm found
And hopefully it comes soon"

She began to cry then pray
For this poor soul lost at sea
"Oh Lord, help this poor soul
That sent this letter out to me!"

TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A GENIOUS
TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A FOOL
BUT OUR WORDS OF POETRY
IS JUST OUR EXPESSION TOOL
