Waiting For His Return

She said "I don't love you!"
As he was walking out the door
Never knowing that would be the last
That she would talk to him anymore

Just a few miles down the highway
He was in an awful wreck
Never had a chance to survive
Because someone couldn't stop to text

Now she walks the floor
Waiting for him to return
with no way of knowing
His car was forced over the burm

Those words she can't take back
Will haunt her the rest of her days
You can bet shell be watching
to everything she has to say

Her screams won't bring him back
No matter how loud she screams
And she'll sit straight up in the bed
Each time she has those dreams

She hears a car coming her way
she gets ready to hold him in her arms
But this time it's not him
It's a sheriff with his siren alarm

She knows instantly way down deep
That something isn't right
As they give her the bad news
This will be one of many sleeples nights

Just those few little words
and her world has come to an end
Now their will never be enough time
For her broken heart to mend

Be careful of what you say
You never know what's around the bend
Tommorrow might be a new beginning
Then again it might be The End

TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A GENIOUS
TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A FOOL
BUT OUR WORDS OF POETRY
IS JUST OUR EXPESSION TOOL
