At the bubbling brook

Post by AsHeIs » Wed Feb 10, 2016 11:04 am

In talking to a sunbeam who just came out to play
We pondered at the bubbling brook… what he had to say
His answer to our question wasn’t we thought it would be
He said he fell in love with how you were with me
but the moonbeam always pushed him out of the way

Blueberry bushes listening across the brook
thought what a funny daydream path that he took
They chuckled he was much too young to stay awake
and worry what part a distant moonbeam would take
It’s best to love what’s there not what’s behind your look

Galloping horses racing nearby conversed
Silly sunbeams…Moonbeams are but sunbeam’s past burst
Just a nighttime beacon for love that can’t be swayed
mirrored by the sunbeam’s joy seeing it displayed
Love seen by one can also be felt in reverse

Whispering willows above our head twirled around
in ancient swirl…What such love in nature is found
That brings sunbeams out to play and moonbeams to chase
Bubbling brooks to ponder and jealousies to face
What a love that brings love to life in speech profound

Now, looking for that sunbeam who loved the love we shared
We pondered at the bubbling brook… Was he now repaired
But he was busy playing tag with the horses
with willows and blueberries marking their courses
The moonbeam hanging on in pure delight… prepared
