Heart Breaker

When she said "I don't love you!"
It broke the old mans heart
He sat there and cried
It had tore his world a part

He could remember back
When she first began to crawl
Now she's hardly two
And already making him bawl

She's just his grand baby
By his only child
Yet those few words
Made the tears run wild

He had to turn his back
So she didn't see him cry
For she was just a child
And would not understand why

As he wiped away the tears
And began to turn around
The little girl gave him a hug
With out making a sound

She said "I'm sorry Gramps"
"Because I do love you"
Then he picked and held her tight
Saying "Baby I love you too"

Then they both gave hugs
Like nothing was ever said
Then he read her a story
before tucking her in bed

TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A GENIOUS
TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A FOOL
BUT OUR WORDS OF POETRY
IS JUST OUR EXPESSION TOOL
