Using just one finger,
I arrange the clouds across the sky
I color them white
And blow them toward heaven..

the sun watches in awe..

The northern star,
in it's quest to find immorality
I pull in a little closer,
just beyond the reaches
of the human eye..

I speak to the wind -

"Softer", I say,
It whispers to me in obedience..

Knowing your love for water
I create an ocean
I make it flow for thousands of miles
I give it the depths of my heart.
I walk away..
the tide washes up against my feet
yet I leave no footprints..

I imagine a cabin ahead
facing the newly created ocean
music playing quietly
(a song you used to love..)

I picture you on the balcony
Your eyes fuel my sun
Your smile painted in dreams
You wave happily at me,
I wave back

you fade away..

Raindrops fall around me
as I realize
you were

In this world I am God
I create heaven on Earth
I move mountains and rivers
The one thing I can not do

Is bring you back...

my love -
only exist
in my memory..

With the turn of my head
I dry up the ocean
I erase the sun,
Replacing it with the moon
Who silently watches
the flowers die..

I look toward our cabin
now in ruins..
and see a cave
that goes no where
yet goes every where..

It's mystery invites me
However I know I can not explore.

Your memory keeps me away...

After some time..
I walk though a garden
Searching for answers
Asking no questions
Accepting my own divinity
While wishing for mortality
A real world --
that I could spend with you...

As the branches part before me,
I allow a bird to sing.

I stop for a second and listen
forgetting you are gone
Looking upward,
I use just one finger
and arrange the clouds in the sky

I color them gray
And blow them toward heaven

The moon watches in fear...

thank you all, Genesis is from deep in my heart and inspired by the poetic style of a good friend of mine.. i'm growing a little tired of writing sad love poetry (regardless how beautiful) and have my hopes crossed for something more positive in the future..

take care all,

~ Daniel
