a listening ear

Post by gjkll » Sun Jan 17, 2010 3:55 pm

sometimes it's just good to have a listening ear,
someone to care and 2 say "i am here",
u don't need long answers or lots of advice,
just someone to say "it'll all be ok",
"i'm here if u need me, a shoulder i'll lend",
"just know that i care and will still be your friend",
"cos on friendship u cannot put a price",
"i'm here through the good times and when things aren't nice"

Dear GJ, short but power-packed. I want to have that listening ear. This poem of yours encouraged me to listen more. My Grandmother used to tell us what her Daddy used to say, "GOD gave us two ears and one mouth for a reason." You've probably heard that before, but it's a good saying, isn't it? Great job on this. -Dawn

Hey, hon, I thought I had posted to this, but I see that I didn't! Please forgive me, as I remember reading it, must have gotten distracted that day. It is a beautiful poem, and God bless you for sharing it with us!
love always,

Dear GJ, good morning! I passed a sign this morning that said, "A talker shares, but a listener cares." I thought of you and your cool poem here and thought you'd appreciate that quote. Have a blessed day! -Holmesy
