The Trip Home

It was just a simple wreck
Out on there on a county road
Something snapped under her car
Her mind was thinking of a heavy load

It rolled her over the back
Several times then into a tree
A farmer found her there
Half way between here and Eternity

They got her to the hospital
Where the doctors worked for hours
But little did the doctors know
She was looking at higher powers

She seen Angels up there
The our Saviour on a golden shore
He said "come here my child,
Come home to me in the forever-more"

It was just then she died
There in that hospital bed
Her family will surely miss her
And yes there will be tears shed

But she is there in Heaven
With her loved ones from the past
Hold hands with our Saviour
May her memories forever last

Take care of your loved ones
While you are still able to
We never know when our time is up
Just think this could be me or you

TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A GENIOUS
TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A FOOL
BUT OUR WORDS OF POETRY
IS JUST OUR EXPESSION TOOL
