Man Of Sorrows.

Post by Wilmas » Thu Feb 19, 2015 4:36 am

They plucked the hair from off Your cheeks,
They spat upon Your face Lord,
In spite of all Your gentleness
Your pity and Your grace Lord.
With furrows long upon Your back
And thorns upon Your head, Lord.
They led You on the Calvary track
And there Your blood was shed, Lord.

They mocked You and they taunted You,
With scorn they did deride You
And on the high, uplifted cross
They nailed and crucified You.
With visage marred, with bleeding feet,
With wounded hands and side Lord,
For me redemption was complete
And You for me have died Lord.

The cruel cross with all it's shame
With all it's bitter smart, Lord,
Is gone forever, praise Your name!
And You have won my heart, Lord.
With joyful shout and trumpet blast
I soon shall rise to meet You
And in the clouds, caught up at last,
Dear Lamb of God, I'll greet you.

Another of Danny's lovely poems

Thank you Eve for taking the time to read Danny's poem. Just thinking earlier that it will be 72 years tomorrow since I took Christ as my Saviour. He has never let me down. Love to all my friends in Huggyland. Wilmas (Margaret)
