To Mother Earth

To Mother Earth

Most can not see your beauty
They are blinded by the light
All they seem to get done
Is to bicker and to fight

They can't see your majestic’s
Like your mountains and your trees
They destroy everything in their path
Then wander why they can't breath

They pollute the streams and rivers
Causing fish to float around dead
They never get the whole picture
They can't get it through their head

The "man-made-trash" is everywhere
All along the paths and roads
And I'm not talking by a little bit
No, I'm talking by the truck loads

Greed seems to be a hunger
Like they can never get enough
Not caring what they destroy
This is already going, it's no bluff

All they seem to care about
Is their fancy shoes and clothes
While they walk past their fellow man
And stick up their nose

Always digging and drilling
For your gold,coal and oil
Just the thoughts of their greed
Is enough to make ones blood boil

Yes old mother earth it's true
Mans greed destroys so much each day
For man to see his wrongful ways
On all this we can only pray

TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A GENIOUS
TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A FOOL
BUT OUR WORDS OF POETRY
IS JUST OUR EXPESSION TOOL
