Just A Bum On The Street

Just a bum on the street
That's what they'd say
Though he never carried a bible
He always followed Gods ways

Just a bum on the street
With nowhere left to go
People called him a tramp
But someday it would show

Just a bum on the street
Because he wore so many rags
For he had no kind of money
And he had no reason to brag

Just a bum on the street
So many had turned him away
But he'd just smile along
As he made along his way

Just a bum on the street
Just an old man wearing rags
While others talked him down
Then brought on their brags

Just a bum on the street
With nothing so dear to hold
But he knew of a certain place
Where streets are paved with gold

Just a bum on the street
That's all you could hear them say
But we'll hear another story
When it becomes Judgment Day

TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A GENIOUS
TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A FOOL
BUT OUR WORDS OF POETRY
IS JUST OUR EXPESSION TOOL
