Parents

Post by vickielynn » Mon Mar 28, 2011 12:48 am

A family falls apart
oh God this is so sad,
a mom mad at her daughter
a son don,t speak to dad.

Words are said in anger
tears are gonna flow,
not speaking to each other
frustration start to grow.

Days turn in to months
the months turn in to years,
waiting for apologies
that no one ever hears.

A dad has passed away
a mom loses her mind,
does this open the eyes
could life still be blind.

Mom and dad are both gone
still you face the world alone,
lost without your parents
and still your on your own.

If your happy family
has been torn apart,
sit and think it through
and then follow your heart.

A parent is someone
that you can not replace,
don,t wait your whole life
to change the hurt that,s on their face.

It maybe now or never
you have just one life to live,
take it as a lesson
and then just forgive.

They won,t always be here
but in heaven up above,
don,t wait til it,s to late
forgive em show em love.

Tell em that your thankful
it don,t matter how far,
let them know you care
and how special that they are....

Vickie,
This is so heart touching, and we need to stop and take the time to let others know how much they mean to us. Especially our parents, I love the messages that you have in your wonderful poems.

God Bless You Love Eva

Vickielynn, You misunderstood what I meant about your poem being like the one I wrote "Mothers". I thought I was saying they both carry the same," message" about our parents,( not that yours was any way a copy of mine.)

I LOVE THIS POEM.. SIMPLY BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW PEOPLE, FRIENDS AND FAMILY WHO ARE ESTRANGED AND LIVE APART FROM ONE ANOTHER....
LIFE IS TOO SHORT FOR THAT..
GOD HAVE MERCY AND SHOW US YOUR LOVE SO THAT WE MAY REACH OUT , FORGIVE AND LOVE IN YOUR HONOR !

Dearest Vickie,

Our Lord, offers many times, substitutes; that while they do not completely fill the voids, in our Lives, nor much less, eliminate the most profound pains,...He does help us, to heal, by sending us, others; who care about you, and whose balm of Love, helps seal these open wounds; Although perhaps, we are not exactly like Almighty God, who can forgive and forget; we can forgive, in spite of not being always able, to forget!....

Remember, even the scars, have their purpose... They help us, not to forget the injury; and when we stare at these scars, it reminds us of our errors, tragedies, mistakes and even perhaps, lack of attention, to our surroundings. With the hopes, of not repeating our walk, through these troublesome paths. So, I pray,..."That we learn, with God's Grace and through His Word, the inseparable Love, which only He can Teach us. That we may cling to You, dear God; through the Words of Your Son, our Saviour,...Jesus, Your Anointed One. That we realize, You indeed offer relief, to our often, self-inflicted wounds; by giving us, new friends,...as Your substitutes; to our situations, which sometimes, have no other remedies!"....

"Ours, is not like Yours, dear God,..."An Unconditional Love". Help us, to reach the heights, of Your Son, Who sits,...at Your Right Hand. Teach us, this Love; without bridles in our tongues, without bridges between us!"

My dearest Vickie,...you write, most beautifully and I pray to Almighty God, for our nearness, to led of Him!....

Love,

Izzy!...
