When the Pilgrims and Indians
First sat down to feast so long ago
All feeling oh so blessed
Never trying to put on a show

They sat there as family and friends
With hearts filled with peace and love
They knew then and there they where
Brought together from The Spirit Above

They sat there and ate and drank
Talked not knowing where it might all lead
Trying there very best to get a long
Not knowing, they would make each other bleed

They munched on meats and vegetables
That grew on this great land
All of which they harvested
With their very own hands

So long ago they sat down
On account of love and peace
They all gathered around that day
For that great harvest time feast

Yet today there are very few
Who could do all of that again
Someone always has to bicker and fight
And that should be a punishable sin

TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A GENIOUS
TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A FOOL
BUT OUR WORDS OF POETRY
IS JUST OUR EXPESSION TOOL

Norman,
This is so sad but so true! Things really have changed, but I am so grateful that with God I can still look foward to celebrating all that I have to be Thankful for!
God Bless You Eva

WONDERFUL POEM NORMAN AND THE MESSAGE IS A GREAT REMINDER OF WHAT LIFE ONCE WAS LIKE HERE WITH THE INDIANS AND PEACE WAS AMONG ALL. BUT THEN GREED TOOK IT'S COURSE AND THE POOR INDAIN RECIEVED THE WORST END OF THE STICK. SAD AND SINFUL. SINCERELY BRENDA
