He sits there on the porch
With a silly look on his face
But come the stroke of midnight
He'll feed with out a trace

Though he's a carved up pumpkin
With a candle in him for a light
When he gets hungry for boys and girls
He'll go on the hunt, leaving behind his light

He'll munch on them from head to toe
No one wants to believe he's real
They say he's all made up
Until one of their kids he steals

At the stroke of midnight
He grows arms and legs ,you, know
Then removes the candle from inside
So he can sneak in the dark, with out the glow

Ol Jack-O-Lantern really does come to life
Through some kind of magic spell
Before midnight, he just sits there smiling
As if to say "I'll never tell"

So be in side before midnight
Or, you might be his next meal
If you think it is just a legend
Then you might be the next kid he steals

TO SOME WE SEEM LIKE A FOOL
BUT OUR WORDS OF POETRY
IS JUST OUR EXPESSION TOOL
