The Scarecrow

Post by norman » Sun Oct 21, 2012 9:51 pm

He is but a scarecrow
Hanging out in the field
But come night fall
You had best be at yeild

For he climbs right down
And starts looking for his prey
Before morning he climbs back up
And hangs there all through the day

Some say it's all a lie
And locals swear he's for real
They lost count long ago
On just how many he's killed

Come halloween night
His eyes begin to glow
In a very bright orange
As he comes to life, you know

He has no teeth to bite with
Nor no nails to help him kill
So his choice is no other
Than a corn knife for the thrill

He slays his victims to pieces
Just carving them to bits
Some say they have seen him
And are scared out of their wits

They claim he's silent
As he moves all around
And he'll start carving you
Before you have time to make a sound

Be aware of the scarecrow
And always be prepared to run
For it will do you no good
To try and shoot him with a gun

Me I would go in the daytime
And burn him with some gas and a match
Then he can't come after me
Then I won't have to worry about his next catch
