He’s Retired; She’s Just Tired
by Sandra S. Corona
Twenty-four/seven;
five till eleven,
women are 'on call'.
God bless the woman
whose man is retired.
She'll wish him 'rehired'.
Twenty-four/seven;
five till eleven . . .
its constant complaints.
Nothing is done right;
she cannot sit down
when he is house-bound.
Twenty-four/seven;
five till eleven . . .
he thinks he's a King
yet she's not his Queen.
The poor, worn out gal
has NO outlet now.
Twenty-four/seven;
five till eleven . . .
he talks constantly
about her mistakes.
Remarkably
he won't let her be!
Twenty-four/seven;
five till eleven . . .
She's let herself go . . .
they've no social life.
Her man is retired;
she's in misery.
Twenty-four/seven;
five till eleven . . .
The clock won't turn back;
the future looks drear.
She's praying to find
her own job this year!

Wonderful poem, Sandy. It would be nice for the retired man to do the housework for a while. Wishing lots of luck with the job search!!!

great Job here Sandy,
I used to love my work
Wish I could again miss the human contact.
Love you all
