Noses Blow

Noses Blow
by Sandra S. Corona

Image

On one frosty Christmas Eve,
noses came to town
(running, hanging down).
Saint Nicholas whizzed on by.
A blink of the eye
told everyone why.

No handkerchiefs, no relief,
noses all around
(running, hanging down).
Saint Nicholas (duty-bound)
couldn’t spread flu ‘round
so dare not touch ground.

We’re fortified with Kleenex
for noses in town
(please keep them wiped down)
Saint Nicholas sent them free
hoping we’d all see
make colds history.

One time as legend has it
Rudy’s nose fell down
in a wayward town
Saint Nicholas couldn’t see
Christmas couldn’t be
had no presents! Gee!

Now this frosty Christmas Eve
keep noses in tow
(remember to blow).
Saint Nicholas, on his way
says, “Keep germs at bay
wipe drippings away!”

Ho! Ho! Ho! E’en Santa blows!
