Secret Whispers

Post by Sir Daniel » Thu Nov 02, 2006 12:51 am

Secret Whispers

Secret Whispers across the celing
What are they saying? Inside I'm feeling
Afraid I might be loosing my mind
So I come to you, hoping to find

An answer, something you can say
To make those voices go away
But you just laugh and hand me a pill
Pat me on the back and give me a bill

And you send me home, no better or worse
Suddenly the whispers begin to curse
"Don't take that pill!" they in unison cried
"We went to the same Doctor, that's how we died!"

Thank you Jeff, trust me, when the voices start I always tune them out (which upsets who ever is talking to me...)
I am glad you liked this silly ole rant, I am sorta proud of it myself because it exists solely because of a "One Line Poetry Challenge" I gave on my other site, someone else came up with the first line "Secret Whispers Across The Ceiling" and we had to write the rest of the poem with only 2 rules, rule #1 it had to rhyme and rule #2 was it had to be 12 lines. I remember when she sent me the first line I was like "Huh??" but then when I started to write it all flowed well. It is one of the few times that I carry over a sentance to the next line and I wasn't sure how that would be receaved but most people who have heard this don't even knotice.
Well, there I go again, yabbing on and on and not saying anything...
Take care,

Sir Daniel
